Overview
The Wasp is a compact, thruster-powered drone often seen flying in organized patrols alongside other Wasps, sometimes accompanied by Hornets. When engaged, it switches to unpredictable flight patterns, significantly increasing its difficulty as a target. Armed with light machine guns, the Wasp continuously scans for threats—often with high sensitivity, even misidentifying static humanoid figures as Raiders.
Tactical Behavior
Wasps maintain tight formation during routine patrols but adopt aggressive, erratic maneuvers once combat begins. Before firing, the drone projects a thin red targeting laser, followed by short bursts of bullets. Each burst deals light to moderate damage, but sustained hits can quickly overwhelm unprepared Raiders.
Critical Weakness
The Wasp’s thrusters are completely exposed and unarmored, providing experienced Raiders with a reliable method to disable it. Destroying two thrusters causes the drone to lose lift and crash. A fall from sufficient height can destroy it on impact. If only one thruster is disabled, the Wasp will fly with even more chaotic motion, making accurate shots far more challenging.
Overheat Mechanic
Like other airborne ARC units, a Wasp stranded on the ground for too long will overheat and eventually burst into flames.
