The Tick is a small, spider-like autonomous machine notorious for aggressively targeting Raiders' exposed skin—especially the head and neck area. Operating as a relentless parasitic unit, it is commonly encountered in indoor environments, where it crawls across walls and ceilings awaiting ambush opportunities.
Behavior & Tactics
Ticks frequently attack in coordinated groups. While a single Tick can be easily removed, a swarm can quickly overwhelm even experienced Raiders. In its aggressive state, the Tick emits a distinct robotic shuffling sound before lunging toward its target. Upon successful contact, it latches onto the Raider, steadily draining both health and shields.
Removal and Counterplay
To remove a Tick: Hold the [interact] key to dislodge it. Once detached, it will scurry away and may attempt another lunge.
Prevention: Shoot Ticks before they leap, use walls or large objects to break line of attack, or immediately retreat upon hearing their movement sounds.
Weaknesses
The Tick is unarmored and can be eliminated quickly with any weapon type. However, its small size and rapid movement make it a tricky target in close quarters.
