Grinding Gear Games is inviting everyone to jump into Path of Exile 2 this weekend, for the release of The Last of the Druids. The announcement was shared by Game Director Jonathan Rogers, who confirmed that both the update and a free weekend will start on Friday, December 12.

From December 12 to December 15 (PST), Path of Exile 2 will be completely free to play on all platforms. It is a perfect opportunity to see what the game has to offer, without having to pay anything.

During the free weekend, you will have access to:

The new Druid class

The latest league, The Fate of the Vaal

A ton of exclusive cosmetic rewards

Free Cosmetics

Playing in The Fate of the Vaal league during the event lets you unlock a few really cool rewards:

Smoking Pipe Helmet Attachment – Earned by visiting the Clearfell Encampment

Blood Moon Level-up Effect – Unlocked by defeating Count Geonor

This cosmetic appears every time your character levels up

Magus Tome Hip Attachment – Defeat the Rotting Druid in Act 1 to obtain a book preserving the ancient knowledge of the Druids

Grinding Gear Games has made it clear that these rewards are cosmetic only and will not affect character power or progression in any way.
