According to the latest GSD sales data, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is facing a difficult start in the European market. The game's launch week sales came in 63% lower than Battlefield 6 managed during its debut week in October. Furthermore, early estimates indicate the title's sales have dropped by more than 50% compared to last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
This substantial year-on-year decline comes with an important caveat. The reported data, which tracks both physical and digital sales, notably excludes downloads through subscription services. As Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is available on Game Pass from day one—unlike Battlefield 6—its actual player engagement is undoubtedly much higher than sales figures suggest.
The competition has been notably intense this season. A report from Ampere Analysis reveals that over 25% of Call of Duty players who were active in September purchased Battlefield 6 in October. This player crossover, combined with the new Black Ops installment receiving notably low user scores at launch, has created a perfect storm for the title's commercial performance.
Despite the sharp sales decline, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 still managed to claim the No. 1 spot in the European unit sales chart for the week ending November 16. For players who are jumping into the game and want to get a head start, many in the community choose to visit MMOMAX to buy Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 items and in-game currency to quickly gear up their operatives.
The rest of the chart saw some interesting movements. Ubisoft's Anno 117: Pax Romana secured a strong second place, with launch sales estimated to be 2.5 times higher than Anno 1800 back in 2019. Last week's chart-topper, Football Manager 2026, saw a steep decline to No. 11. EA Sports FC 26 held firm at No. 3, while Battlefield 6 and Pokémon Legends: Z-A rounded out the top five.
